Cafe, restaurant and night club Lokaal (from the word "local") was designed by an Estonian architect Accepted Roosal in a renovated two-storey mansion in the small town of Rakvere near Tallinn. In the old days, this house stood on the estate. "The customers wanted to preserve the old spirit of the estate,” the architect says, “but in the process, the idea was somewhat transformed and more modern, though in some rooms and with a hint of antiquity.” Furniture made sketches Accepted Roosal, chandeliers and metal compositions for the dance floor zone, the architect came up with in collaboration with the metal artist Bruno Lillemetsom.
