Artist Mino Longo showed how he creates unique interior items for Epoque by Egon Furstenberg

“First we prepare the composition based on epoxy resin, dye and metal powder,” says the artist. “Then we take a broad brush and rub it into the surface.” Then we spray it with a solvent, and it will be covered with a pattern similar to the relief of the planet that was just born. ”

“The fire will enhance this effect, it will“ work through ”the details of the pattern. And then gently pour the painted resin on top, creating the effect of the river. Observe the diagonal composition. We will return to surface treatment with fire several times — this will give the ornament depth. ”

“With the help of suitable tools we distribute part of the composition along the edge of our“ river ” There will be another “flow” here, and I want them to blend beautifully. I have already prepared a lighter shade for him. ”

“And now I take the gold powder and — no, I no longer mix it with the base, but gently blow it into separate parts of the surface. Then we will once again go over it with a solvent, creating new “spontaneous” patterns. ”

“Our master class took only an hour and a half, Mino Longo noticed at the end. In fact, each layer needs to be dried well, and therefore the whole process takes at least a day. It all depends on the number of layers. "
