Stefan Waldenmeier: German cuisines have rich historical traditions. In the postwar years in Germany, as well as throughout Europe, standardized Frankfurt cuisine served as the benchmark for design. Designed by architect Margarete Schutte-Lihotski, it was intended exclusively for work, cooking and washing dishes. Such a functional approach fixed the place of a woman in the kitchen, as he veiled asserted: let him continue to stand at the stove, and we will take care that she was comfortable. Gradually, the kitchen turned from a cramped cooking unit into the center of gravity of the whole house, into a place for meetings and socializing. Now, aesthetics and functionality in its design act on equal terms. LEICHT cultivates this unity. An example is the classic Versailles De Luxe kitchen. At the heart of its design - the classic style. The main decorative element is pilasters decorated with gold / silver plating. They make out the island, the cooking niche, the facades of cabinets. These pilasters are not just an element of decor: it is worth pressing them lightly, as from the depth appear boxes and baskets for storage, sliding on silent guides.
