The Observatoire restaurant in the Copernicus residential complex is a closed type institution where only club members can come. Actually, the entire infrastructure of this complex is designed so that you can go down to breakfast, lunch or dinner in the wine cellar, lobby bar or banquet hall, without going outside. "The very name of the Observatoire restaurant is not quite an allusion to the Copernicus personality,” says the author of the project.

Designer Julia Dalakyan draws inspiration for creating new collections in communication with people. “And trends are in the air. They just need to be seen,” she believes.
Oksana Kashenko: Do you like restaurants?
Julia Dalakyan: Love Eating for me is a part of rest, it is relaxation after work, especially when you finish late, at nine in the evening, and you don’t even want to go home and try anything. And since the process visualization is very important for me, then, of course, I go not just to some place where you can eat quickly and tasty, but above all to a very beautiful place.
- Tell me, what should be the main thing in the interior: textures, volumes, colors, lines?
- It is very individual. I think it is very difficult to find a designer just for the interior. Sew a dress less risk than make your space in which you live or work. For example, when I did the Fashion House four years ago, it didn’t work out with the designer. I am an artist myself, I have a certain style and my own idea of how everything should be. Most of the time I spend in the Fashion House and much less at home. Naturally, I planned to create such a space in which it is convenient to work, and you can meet with clients at fittings, and some parties are unreasonable to hold. And it seems that we even agreed on a common idea with the designer. But he began to embody it purely technically, without delving into where I really needed. And I used to trust the professionals. I say to a makeup artist or hairdresser: "Look at my collection and do it in the same way." He makes sketches or explains to me, and if I agree, I don’t delve into this process anymore. It was the same here: we discussed the general idea, I told about my wishes and trusted the designer's professionalism. But when I came to the already finished interior, I gasped. There was an impression that I was made a nightclub: five times less light than necessary. And about the fitting room - he didn’t understand at all what kind of mirrors there should be, that there should be surgical lighting so that even minor flaws could be seen ... After all, the Fashion House is like the Beauty Institute. Here, not only is the beautiful interior, where beautiful women are defiled, there are also procedural ones ... In general, black paint had to be torn off the floors, old boards, but we had to put up with the concrete “sofa” in the center of the cabin, tightly poured into the basement. But in general, it still came out beautifully. We have very high linen, because this is an old building, Stalin, there are floor-to-ceiling doors, and our symbol - a rose and an angel - is laid out with glass pieces. I told this story only because the interior is really very difficult to do. When your publishing house invited me to the Public Council of the Architectural Award and I got acquainted with the projects, I was just shocked at what turned out to be beautiful houses ... I also go to different houses, but here so that something shocked me ...
- And which designers do you like?
- I really love Giorgio Armani. The decoration that is on me is Armani. A few years ago, I worked for Roberto Cavalli. And, as soon as I received my insane salary, all the shops of Armani were already waiting for me. Then I bought men's trousers from him, men's shirts — all by myself, I really loved this style ... Until 2000, I did very avant-garde things. And then she started working for Roberto Cavalli. I was surprised. This is the man around whom love lives. All around it is saturated with it, he radiates it and helping others learn to radiate love. I was very good at working there. Indeed, the freedom that was given went to my advantage. And in this freedom I saw his love and care. So now in everything I do, I try to sow love.
- Love for what?
- To life and to people. I love listening to people, sharing opinions; maybe I was just lucky in life, but I always meet interesting people. Now I no longer corrode over architectural books and do not indulge in insane monitoring of trends. Now I know that everything is really in the air. You just need to learn how to catch it. For example, winter was a fatal and contrasting winter for everyone, and I came up with exactly the same about six months before the show ...
- Do you like pillows in this interior?
- Pillows are very beautiful, pink, salmon and ash. Yes, the color is very beautiful. I am very worried that he has gone out of fashion for a while, but believe me, he will return. Everything that is beautiful never goes out of style.
- Where do you like to rest?
- I have a favorite place on earth. This is Capri. I love him very much, everything gets along beautifully - both nature and setting. And the weather is special all the time. that there is a huge amount of famous people. And it is not annoying as in all high-profile resorts, where people only exist together and leave for show only. I have a lot of clients who specially sew a whole mountain of evening clothes for this period of time.
- Where usually go with evening wardrobe?
- In Monte Carlo, Monaco and Portofino. I do not like these places - everything there exists within a certain vicious circle.
- Is there any hotel in Capri that you like very much?
- The most famous hotel in Capri is the Grand Hotel Quisisana, but it is the least. Of course, it is located in a beautiful place on a pedestrian street, however, for all its high cost and pomposity, it is good only in the evening when you sit on the veranda. But a little closer to the sea is the hotel Luna, where most of the balconies overlook the sea. It is at an extraordinary height, and there are also two cliffs on either side, just Fellini’s sensation. When the moon appears on one side and the ship on the other, it seems that these are absolute decorations. Capri is generally a fantastic place. And there are a lot of very small pretty hotels in picturesque places. I also adore China. There is an opportunity to relax and work. Almost all the decor that I buy for my collections is from China. There are no such gems anywhere else - only in India and China. Even in China, make stunning embroidery and weave silk
