Architect Olga Stupenko talks about how in the interior you can combine bold techniques and harmony, courage and comfort, and why the love of life is still very important for creating such a space

“I love joyful, sunny interiors. the combination of milk and gold, if the space - with elements of the classics; or ocher yellow with white if the interior is modern. So, the warmth of natural velvet and stitched leather, cool glass - everything gives the room of this dining room solemnity and comfort at the same time. Curls volute on the dresser, intricate plates in the window, silver candlesticks and jugs create an atmosphere of magic. You are welcome!

I like the combination of large and small ornaments, floral and geometric. Example - living room interior, decorated in a sophisticated truffle range with dark and light patches. The sofa strip holds the space well, funny pads and figures enliven it, make the game element. ALL IS ENOUGHLY VARIOUS, BUT ALSO TIME AND STRICTLY, subject to the laws of composition. The cold, perfectly polished surface of the stone softens the warmth of the velvety silk carpet. Everywhere there is balance, harmony.

The bar counter in another interior according to my project is the dominant of space. She zoned him, separating the kitchen from the living room and at the same time uniting it. The unifying role is played by a large-scale baroque pattern on the frontal plane of the stand. This panel serves as a point of attraction for looking at people sitting at the dinner table. (And the proportions of the room and furniture are calculated in such a way that their gaze is exactly at the panel level.) In this living room, for example, everything is aged in a golden-warm gamut with bright and dark spots. And let there be one main accent in the room (here it is a bar counter), the rest is a background more or less saturated with details.

You can use combinations of different colors, or you can use combinations of different shades of color, as in this case, to impart rigor. Although she does not exclude easy fun.

The use of symmetry and graphic allows you to achieve amazing effects in monochrome compositions. All on the nuances - a combination of crystal, fabric fiber, dark mother of pearl, the patina of the mirror frame.

I LOVE DYNAMIC, SATURATED INTERIORS. Such as a recreation area on one of my objects. It is multifunctional: it is a library, a playroom, a cinema hall, and a living room. Ornaments, typography, velvet, leather, flax, silk - all this twists the space and raises to a certain emotional wave. Matte and shiny, dark and light surfaces - everything plays, shimmers. It seems that here the past is connected with the future. ”
