The cradle is the first shelter in life, designed to replace the mother’s hand to the infant, protect it from excess light and noise during sleep, and calm it down with a measured swing. Previously, one cradle served several generations of the family and was considered an important talisman. Now more attention is paid to comfort, safety, and also beauty, in which different ideas about the joy and happiness of motherhood are reflected. Another important point that designers take into account: the cradle is most often located in the parent’s bedroom, and, as a rule, it becomes its main decoration.
