The entrance area of the French Interior Gallery "Louis" (St. Petersburg, 5th Sovetskaya St., 44) is on the podium. He divides the space into two parts, personifying two periods: the Enlightenment and today. On the one hand, the “retrospective” half, saturated with color, textures, sophisticated forms, on the other hand, is a restrained monochrome exposition of modern furniture. In the historic interior, dark blue paint is combined with gold and light birch planks, and in modern one only black and white print is admitted as decoration.
