Sinner Lorenzo Rubelli, head of the textile empire that unites brands Rubelli, Bises Novita, Lisio, knows all about classic and modern fabrics. At our request, he talked about how best to design the interior of the bedroom.Salon: How does a bedroom differ from other rooms, which colors are appropriate, which, on the contrary, are not at all appropriate? - The bedroom is a room for rest, therefore colors should not be bright and aggressive. As a child, my bedroom was bright orange, and it made me a little nervous. So I advise you to avoid bright colors, especially red, orange and yellow. Personally, I really like the traditional blue bedroom in all its variants. Combinations of natural colors are now in vogue: the color of the sky, the color of the sea in combination with earth tones. It looks interesting combination of yellow with olive or pistachio. Green tones are especially relevant in the bedroom overlooking the garden, as if you bring into the room a part of the scenery outside the window. S: What would you recommend for a modern interior? - You can either stick to the natural range from white to cream and beige (these colors combine well with modern furniture made from trendy wenge or bleached oak), or choose brighter, more saturated colors. However, the farther to the North, the less light in the room, and accordingly lighter colors are in fashion, so, speaking of the bedroom in Russia, I would rather advise to stick to the natural range. It is desirable that the bedroom were softer colors and translucent fabrics. Now it is fashionable to use transparent materials, like tulle. And if earlier tulle was practically either white or beige, today it can be bright, since the fashion for bright colors is back.
