Designers have become like geologists: looking for inspiration in drawing mountain crevices and topographic maps of the seabed. Chests are decorated with textured images of tectonic faults, vases resemble lakes, as if seen from space into a powerful telescope, and lamps — the boulders of rock extracted from the bowels of the earth.
