Patterned wallpaper, stucco, wood carving ... The rich decor in this living room is balanced by smooth monophonic surfaces

The RICHED WALL DECOR is one of the most fashionable interior trends. Today even patterns on patterns are welcome, such as, for example, these panels depicting flowers on top of wallpapers with thick floral patterns. But the laws of harmony have not been canceled, and, to balance parts of the interior, the architect Igor Sushkov made the surface above the fireplace absolutely white and even. Only at the top he set off a neat and also white stucco pattern.

At the FIREPLACE, it is customary to gather family and friends, and its unifying function is often emphasized by the decor: the portal is decorated with carvings, castings, mosaics, and the texture of onyx or marble is played up. But there are cases (and this is one of them) when the fireplace is shown the “subtraction” of the decor. The same task serves as a chair in a single black upholstery. Here would be good and lamps with plain shades concise shape.
