The Riga City Council, destroyed during World War II and recently completely reconstructed, now houses the Riga City Council (Kalku Street, 1). The main part of this rather impressive establishment is a covered glass passage, therefore all rooms are transparent and flooded with natural light. One of the oldest streets of old Riga, Yanuava Street, is part of the building's interior: the lobby of each floor is connected to it by a junction. Marble, granite, glass, metal - the main materials used by the authors of the project. In contrast to the "coldness" in the Riga City Council there are fireplaces, two author's fountains and a beautiful landscape, which also blurs the line between the interior and the exterior.
