Launched last year, the festival continues to acquaint the capital's public with the achievements of European design. The festival's philosophy is the active use of the urban environment. According to the director of Sretenka Design Week, Andrei Samonaev, the design is intended to make life around us comfortable and interesting. That is why most of the exhibitions are located not in museums, but on Moscow streets, in cafes and shops. The “Russian Avant-garde: new edition” round table was held in the DesignBoom gallery. The participants discussed the prospects for the creation in Moscow of a design museum, as well as the readiness of the domestic market for the generally accepted practice in Europe of reissuing models created by masters of the avant-garde of the 1920s.
