SALON: Harry, how did you create your first fireplace? How did the company start That's because?

 - It all started 37 years ago. Then I was engaged in interior design. And while working on one of the projects, for the first time I had an idea to invent a fireplace myself. An original open fireplace was necessary for the interior, and not just a hole in the wall with a wooden shelf above it. So we can say that the monotonous design of the existing fireplaces at the time also pushed me to the first experiments with steel, my favorite material. As a result, a fireplace production workshop appeared.

S: What, in your opinion, should be the perfect fireplace?

 - I would call an ideal fireplace, the appearance of which coincides with its purpose. And he should not only fit into the interior of the house, but also to preserve his individuality. In addition, a well-designed open fireplace is in itself an expressive piece of furniture.

S: In design That's because geometry plays an important role. What influences the creation of such forms?

 - It is difficult to name any one factor. I am inspired by fashion, architecture, and furniture, as well as contemporary works of art, and sometimes museum antiquities.

S: Your fireplaces are from the future. And how do you imagine the future of fireplaces?

 - I believe that in the future the materials will be different from the current ones. Perhaps the evolution of heat-resistant fibers and plastics will allow us to create a more impressive design.

S: You pay attention to the fireplaces. Which of the recently seen surprised you?

- It was in France, in an old castle. We dined in front of a huge fireplace with antique marble veneer. Not that I was surprised by the design itself, I was struck by the size of this fireplace. He was two meters wide and three meters high. A whole tree was burned in it at once.

S: What are the differences between fireplaces in country houses and city apartments?

 - The only difference is that in a city apartment it is more convenient to use gas fireplaces. The design of the fireplace, the size and technical features are subject to the wishes of the customer and do not depend on its location. We have already made a fireplace-cabinet, fireplace-table and fireplace-partition and are ready to accept any challenge, any order for an unusual fireplace. And whether the fireplace will be successful or not, will depend only on the personal taste of the customer.
