This elegant style apartment ar-dekowhere practically everything, from furniture to murals, was made according to the sketches of the decorator, least of all makes one think about the small area that it occupies. You just admire her

Today it is hard to believe that at the beginning it was the most usual one-bedroom apartment. To complete the experience Natalya Legotina shows photos on his laptop: curved walls, slanting floor, narrow doorways ... ".

The question of the style in which the living space will be decided, the owner provided the decorator to decide. “The image of the interior appeared right away,” says Natalia. - I imagined an open space in style ar-deko, elegant, with an element of theatricality, with ornaments characteristic of that era. The idea of the main color combinations - dark brown, beige, golden and lingonberry - immediately arose ... Then everything happened very quickly: I made a sketch, the customer immediately approved it, and the work began. ”

The next time the owner appeared on the object, when it was, in fact, not an object, but a fully completed and even habitable apartment: hangings hung, pillows were laid out, accessories were arranged. Natalya Legotina used in this interior some techniques that can be conventionally called theatrical - the game of volumes (when from a small dark hall you get into the open light space), spectacular openings, ceilings, portals, friezes, thought out like in a theater, light and even a “curtain” (his role is played by curtains).

Everything in the apartment is made in such a way that, entering it, we participate in a pre-written interior scenario. Here we turn on the light in the hall. Through the opening we see a dark living room. The curtains are open, the floor-to-ceiling French windows gleam. But this is an illusion. In fact, under the windows - aged mirrors, covered with wooden bars. It is they who visually “prolong” the windows to the floor. Entering the living room, turn on the light and see a large room - the living room - kitchen - dining room, and right behind the console in the living room - bedroom. (By the way, for each of these zones a different lighting scenario was thought out.) The murals and stained glass were created based on the most spectacular style ornaments. ar-deko; in part, they resemble Bakst's theatrical sketches. Sitting on the bed in the bedroom, from the console, you can push the shelf for a laptop, trimmed with leather, embossed under shagreen. The same skin, very pleasant to the touch, and decorated the inner surface of the built-in cabinets. The TV screen is visible not only from the living room (it would be too easy), but also from the bedroom. The angle of view is built so that you can watch TV in bed.

Furniture made according to drawings Natalia Legotina

At that time, the public had a great interest in the art of ancient Egypt, and ar-deko willingly learned some of his tricks. Something similar, only in a very mediated form, we will find here: symmetrical faceted columns at the entrance to the living room, the construction of the ceiling in the hall and bathroom resembling a pyramid ... And most importantly - this game with spaces, when from a small, mysteriously lit the rooms are unexpectedly large and bright ... In the context of this apartment, the classic reception is perceived as super modern.

Project author Natalya Legotina: “Today, many prefer to live outside the city. Similarly, my client settled in his own house in the Moscow region, and bought an apartment to sometimes stay in the city. Small and conceived as a guest, it soon became a full-fledged housing. ”
