Dmitry Shumidub defines the style of an apartment designed by his architectural bureau as a mixture of deconstruction and minimalism

The interior solution was created for a young married couple who wanted to live in a modernly designed house. And not only from the point of view of design of furniture, but also from the point of view of architecture and philosophy of space. This is where this inherent deconstructivism asymmetry, visual complexity, and unexpected broken forms came from. Ceilings visually add more space to the space. The walls, by which the functional zones are delimited, look as if they were laid out of massive concrete bars. A person who gets here has the feeling of being inside a megalithic structure. The space is trimmed accordingly - very ascetic, and concrete-gray shades prevail in the color palette.

The architect received complete freedom of action: the apartment owners, having confirmed their agreement with the visualization, did not interfere in the process of creating the interior until complete completion. Dmitry Shumidub I did everything on my own, based on my vision of this space. He clearly distinguished between private and public areas. The kitchen is separated from the living room by a visually - black stone strip running along the floor and smoothly turning into a bar counter. Living rooms are separated by walls - different in slope, thickness and shape. They look as if they appeared here by chance, under the influence of a certain element, like vaults of a mountain gorge. Between them are made gaps, closed with frosted glass with floral ornaments. In addition to the decorative role, these stained glass windows also have a functional meaning: LEDs installed on the inside serve as a source of additional light, making this concrete space more airy. And the decor and furniture add to the emotional brightness in the interior - red curtains on the windows, red floor lamps, red bar stools. Thanks to them, this space truly comes to life.

Project author Dmitry Shumidub: “The design was ordered by a young married couple. The owners wanted the interior to look modern and noble. And I, working on this apartment, tried to reflect their views on life. Therefore, the choice was made in favor of deconstruction and minimalism "
