The results of the competition announced by the company Saint Louis with the support of the magazine SALON-interior. Recall that under the terms of the competition, architects had to create an interior project using the Thistle crystal chandelier of the famous French brand. We asked the winners to comment on their work.
Architect Tatyana Mironova: “This is a sketch of a large main living room in a city apartment. They will gather here for relaxation and socializing. Therefore, a fireplace, and a piano, and a significant sofa area are provided. Since the living room space is elongated, the idea to make two chandeliers instead of one central, which would mark the boundaries of the zones. To add to the interior privacy and remove unnecessary solemnity, it was decided to fix the chandeliers on long chains draped with velvet. Located above the coffee tables, they will not interfere with people, but they will allow them to admire themselves. ”
Architect Natalia Eliseeva: “This project of a country house was created for a young married couple who appreciates sophistication no less than comfort. The internal layout of the private rooms on the second floor fully reflects their lifestyle. The bedroom is combined into one space with a bathroom, which is limited only by curved partitions hiding the shower and toilet zones. The interior is built like a small piece of music, where the composite center is a double round bath, and the role of the final chord is played by the real masterpiece-chandelier of the Thistle factory. SAINT LOUIS. In continuation of the crystal theme, the walls are decorated with glass mosaics with a large floral motif. The natural colors in combination with the luxurious crystal gives the whole interior a style of chic simplicity. ”
Architect Maria Bahareva (the Bureau "Bakharev and Partners»): “The main idea of the interior of this living room is elegant simplicity. In addition to the large windows, transparent stained glass windows were made on the side of the winter garden and the dining room. The frames and doors are very laconic in shape and painted ivory. This gives the interior lightness and airiness. The pink color of the walls adds a touch of playfulness and irony. All soft and cabinet furniture is neutral in shape and color so that the main in the interior remains a Thistle chandelier from SAINT LOUIS. She is the center and soul of the living room. By its presence it introduces pomp and aristocracy and, like all chandeliers SAINT LOUISIt is distinguished by noble proportions and tangible man-made. "
