The customer purchased a mansion in one of the cottage villages near Moscow. The owner has long and thoroughly prepared to finalize his wishes, how he wants to see his future home.

The owner of the house wanted everything at once: bright colors, Chinese themes, and Moroccan motifs. At the same time, it is also to give the interior a refined, sophisticated character, a light fleur of luxury. The master entrusted the combination of all these tasks to architects of the interior studio "Dominant". At the same time, he himself took an active part in work at all stages: together they developed the project, approved forging sketches for staircase railings, mosaic ornaments, selected furniture and textiles, and decorative details.

At some point in the search for style, the customer visited the house of the architect - one of the authors of the project, where he felt: the idea was found. Here he saw the prototype of his future home. Not a role model, but an image. This event was the impetus for the architects: it became clear that the Provence style is close to the owner, but not in his provincial, "village" version, but in a more representative key, with a touch of bourgeois and respectability. At the same time, the authors of the project decided to give the interior a masculine character: a brutal black appeared in the color palette - a strict black kitchen, black dining furniture, a black patina on a light wood (doors, cornices) ... Thus, a central decorative accent was born - a marble mosaic. It is a bright black ornament, ornate, like a pen painting, on a glossy white background.

Provence - the code name for the style of this house. The interior has a lot of modern interpretations - colors, ornaments, compatibility of objects. This is reflected in the leading stylistic direction of our era - eclecticism. Eclecticism, unlike any classical style, is not a collection of canons, but, on the contrary, freedom of choice. Another thing is that eclecticism is not anarchy. Eclecticism is built on the basis of any style, imitates it, takes into account this "outline". This is where professional knowledge, instinct, intuition, taste are needed.

The initial wishes of the customer also embodied in the interior of the house. The basement (Hammam, home theater) is decorated in the style of Marrakesh. In the attic floor they took the place of the Chinese room. Thus, all wishes of the customer were released completely.

Project author Yuliya Karavaeva: “We did this project for a long time and very scrupulously. The customer, one might say, worked together with us — his share of participation was so great. He delved literally into every little thing, into every step”

Project author Olga Izmalkova: "Over time, this interior can be saturated with new things, make a different color, change accents. We tried to create a canvas. At the same time, the interior will not become outdated, will not go out of fashion. Because this is not a historical classical style, but modern eclecticism
