The world's largest audiovideo industry electronics exhibition, the Consumer Electronics Show, was held in Las Vegas from January 9 to 13. One of the most striking innovations are advanced amplifiers of Californian company PASS LABS X series, developed according to patented schemes. Speaker manufacturer OPERA has introduced a new line of SP (Super Pavarotti) for home theater (center channel, front channel and subwoofer and Operetta speaker system). Acoustics from OPERA has always been distinguished by an unusually "lively", beautiful sound. The latest development is no exception. Visitors perceived the sound of the guitar during the presentation of this system as a "live" reproduction. This effect is provided by the dynamics of a new generation - with the use of paper impregnated with a special composition and a special system for applying cutting to the diffuser. The French company AUDIOMECA specializes in the production of CD players, analog players and turntables. From now on, all devices are available in two versions - standard and improved. In the latter, a new CD-M2 reading mechanism is used, making reproduction higher quality. A sensation from the American KRELL was the SACD (Super Audio CD) player. This is a new recording format, which, according to the developers, has replaced the CD. The German company AVANTGARDE ACOUSTIC, which achieved a concert sound thanks to the horn technology, "develops the theme": the new active low-frequency Basshorn system is the first such subwoofer. American AVALON, the creator of one of the most expensive speakers, introduced the know-how - Opus Ceramic model with ceramic speakers. Perhaps the common thing that characterizes all exhibitors is the desire to achieve the most “live” sound and an ever-increasing interest in design.
