Want your home to look like a spaceship? You are welcome! Designers come up with hundreds of futuristic interior items

Once upon a time, the Metropolis film, suddenly launched on a TV broadcast, scared the American public to death with pictures of such a real alien future. Over time, the futuristic theme ceased to be so threatening, and the cosmos obeyed man and became almost comfortable, homely.

How just have not seen the house of the future! Cinematographers, writers and, finally, the architects themselves raised buildings above the ground, "resettling" citizens into endless towers with transparent walls and solar panels as sources of livelihood. Futurism and alien themes in subject design became especially popular in the 1970s. Imagination designers took possession of streamlined shape, chrome surfaces and shiny varnish.

Our post-millenium era seemed to the fantasy intriguing. We do not see anything special in robots - factory "employees", electronic dogs and equipment for a "smart" house. And it looks like a few years will not pass, as the scientists will answer the eternal question: “Is there life on Mars?” The future and cosmic distances lose their romantic aura. But from this look no less attractive. Gigantic “comet” lamps, sofas in the form of an emerging Moon, vases, “dug up” by craters, and armchairs with horns that resemble antennas for communication with fellow minds… (after all, according to recent forecasts, people will live in apartment-cases surrounded by touch-panels). But why not dream of distant worlds in our present ?!
