This landscape in the suburbs is divided into several parts. We have already written about one of them, the upper park, which includes the entrance to the house and everything that is around the mansion (SALON-interior, No. 11 (155) 2010). This story is about the lower park adjoining the ponds.

The lower park consists of ponds, a stream that descends a hill to the Moscow River, a walking zone and a coastal area with a gazebo and barbecue facilities. The elevation difference here is about 15 meters. The stream and ponds are two different water systems. At first, they wanted to be united, but subsequently they abandoned this idea, and now they work autonomously.

Ponds are artificial: dug pits have been dug under deep bowls, and the ground level had to be raised to a considerable height. They are supplied with water by an artesian well on an alpine slide, hidden behind stones and shrubs. In one pond they bathe, the second - a kind of fishing industry. These are specially brought and run the fish, carps for example, and they can be pounded enough. And in the winter ponds are turned into a skating rink, where they play hockey. Around the ponds, designers from the Arteza workshop planted willows (weeping and the so-called brittle, with a spherical crown), mountain ash, white turf, filberts, hydrangeas, spireas, irises, the host ...

Water from the well flows into the ponds along the artificial channel. In the project, by the way, there is an idea to start it from the upper park, to carry out under the road, thus creating picturesque views along the banks. The natural ecosystem of the stream was decided to be preserved. In this territory, a kind of ecopark was invented, through which wooden decking-paths were driven on piles driven into the bottom. Central - wide enough. Customers ride quad bikes and bicycles here. Vegetation left their own, planted only marsh irises, ferns, buzulnik and astilba. This project, by the way, is constantly evolving. The plans - the device of the Japanese garden and even a mini-zoo.
