- Yes, very recently, this year. (Apart from accessories like ties and cufflinks, which we had previously produced.) We relied on bright clothes of recognizable design, stylish, handmade. For example, we have two men's suits in red and green tartan on our stand. Something classic is in them, for example, the material itself and individual parts of the cut, but in general things look almost avant-garde, at least very modern ... Or here's my costume. It combines a stylized vintage cut and large stitches, emphasizing the fact that everything is done by hand. The classic gray color (which, by the way, has acquired a special relevance this year), I emphasized with shining purple. This combination could look provocative if it were not so elegant.
S: The same principle formed the basis of new collections of porcelain?
- You can say so. But with china is getting thinner. Here, for example, a new platinum collection. It is luxurious, but at the same time strict and restrained. And it will be appropriate in any high-quality interior. His style can be any. Let's say
S: Is gold fading into the background?
- I would not say that. In the decoration of dishes it is relevant along with platinum. For example, we decorated some objects from our new Star collection with gold plating.
S: Have you decided to dedicate your collection to a star?
- Yes, but not to man, but to a star as an astronomical and philosophical concept. I once traveled around Florence and found on the floor of one of the Florentine basilicas an eight-pointed star, lined with marble mosaics. I saw this as a symbol of perfection ... If you look at things from the new collection, at least at this candlestick, then they all have the same eight-pointed star in cross section. And when viewed from the side, characteristic ribs are visible. Things from this collection are visually very "active", they will work in a special way in the interior.
S: To properly drink tea from your cups, you must observe a special dress code? That is to be dressed in a suit from the brothers Zieger?
“Of course not.” The main thing is to drink tea with pleasure.
