Lacquer tables, velvet chairs, a reading lamp under a metal shade; clear lines of Art Deco and almost monochrome gamma - this is the recipe of the room from the factory Soher

Art Deco is a style that perfectly expresses the idea of power and wealth. However, this is why it can be tough up to the severity. Decorators usually struggle with this “natural severity” of style - in particular, bringing materials with pleasant, warm to the touch textures into the interior. Here, for example, it is velvet upholstery of chairs and a sofa.
A good painting and a piece of furniture from another era will also help revive the situation. But the style of furniture should be close in mood to the art deco: an empire style or a leader-mayer will do. (Here is just such a thing - a sofa with cylindrical pillows.)
