“Another term is closer to me - relevance,” says the designer. - In my understanding, a good interior is one that will not lose relevance as long as possible. Therefore, I put harmony at the forefront - it certainly will not become obsolete. And harmony occurs where there is a balance. ”

Designer Sergey Ogurtsov successfully implemented his beliefs and views in a new job, an apartment on Dolgorukovskaya. Customers - a family with two children. The owner of the house, Irina, is the one who initiated the alteration, did not plan any major changes. So, only a little refreshment: change the curtains, repaint the walls, buy new furniture. The main condition was to meet the three summer months, while the family lives in the country. But then the process participants got so carried away that they changed both the doors and the floor, and indeed everything — only one of the baths was left from the old one. The construction, however, was delayed for five months, but this is not much for works of this magnitude. How did you achieve the desired balance?

Console Teak House. “First of all, I consider the apartment as a whole,” explains Sergey, “there should not be any sharp drops in style and scale from room to room. Therefore, I like to use the same material, but in different shades: for example, here the wallpaper in the living room and bedroom has the same pattern. As always, we used muted calm, life-comfortable colors. Screaming colors will make an impression: “Wow, how bold!”, But in a month they may get bored.

A similar composition was built in our living room: and although the objects to the right and left of the axis are different, they are visually balanced. It was also important for me to balance masculine and feminine. In the same living room we have a soft pattern of wallpaper, but a strict dark console, two easy-shaped chairs, and opposite a sofa with a “skirt”. It should be comfortable for all family members. ”

An interesting story came out with wallpaper in the living room. “I offered three colors,” recalls Sergey, “two neutral and blue, which the customer immediately rejected. I decided to consult with my husband. The next day, calls: "Still blue." Therefore, I recommend: never say no at once. New shocking at first, causes rejection. But love, which is formed gradually, turns out to be the strongest. ”

In order to achieve harmony in the interior, the designer advises to choose items that have passed the test of time: do not chase after models from the last exhibition, but wait at least a couple of years. "If the factory continues to produce them or, even better, they are kept in the range of 20-30 years, then this is worthy things." Sergey loves American design: strong overseas brands are represented at home: Baker, Holly Hunt. "They know how to take topics from the past and interpret them in today's manner." There are famous "Europeans": Minotti, Christian Liaigre. But the cuisine is Russian - Giulia Novars. “We had two criteria. First, the timing, and secondly, the material: you need a stand of a certain configuration of walnut. A suitable factory was found only in Russia. ”
