Hotel Astoria has a happy fate. The building in which it is located, once occupied a magnificent palace. It was built in the XIII century for noble nobles. Notable so much that in the arms of the family appeared a lily, which traditionally accompanied the French royal house. At the end of the XVII century an earthquake happened, which destroyed most of the city. The palace (he, by the way, had the name “Bucha”) suffered greatly and soon fell into disrepair. Its restoration was undertaken only at the very end of the 1990s, when the historical center of Kotor was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In a renovated building opened a boutique hotel Astoria.
The hotel was designed by the Greek architect Virginia Kavraki and the designers of Selva Hospitality (the studio designing the interiors is a division of the Italian company
