Kartell celebrated the 50th anniversary of Componibili bollards. Anna Castelli Ferrieri, the first woman who graduated from the legendary architectural university, Milan Polytech, came up with the container. It was Ferrieri, together with her husband, who founded Kartell in 1949. Now their son-in-law Claudio Luti is at the head of the company.

The container Componibili became the first modular piece of furniture made of durable ABS plastic, which at the time was a new and very advanced material.

Attractive design and practicality were appreciated by buyers and museums - the best-selling model is included in the permanent exhibition of the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris.

In honor of the 50th anniversary in the flagship Kartell showroom, a retrospective exhibition was held where it was possible to trace the “stages of the long journey” of Componibili, to study archival images and drawings.

The main exhibits were 15 interpretations of the container, on which designers Ron Arad, Mario Bellini, Antonio Citterio, Ferruccio Laviani, Piero Lissoni, Alberto Meda, Alessandro Mendini, Oki Sato, Fabio Novembre, Philippe Starck, Patricia Urquiola, Tokudin Jin Jotinje Jin Jato, Tokudjean Jin, Tokudjean Jin, Fabrio Starbi, Patricia Lissoni, Tokudin Jin, Freddy Starck, Patricia Urciola, Tokudin Jin, Tokudin Jin, Tokudin Jot, Josi Jati, Fabio Starck, Patricia Lissoni, Tokudin Jin, Tokudin Jin, Tobud Jin Jones, Frediu Starck, Patricia Urbiola, Tokudin Jin, Tokudjin Jin, Tobud Stin, Tokyo Emilio Pucci and Missoni, as well as Disney.

Each author has brought a part of his corporate style to the project. Some repainted and decorated the cabinet, others rethought its functionality, and still others turned it from a utilitarian object into an art object.
