Swedish design duo Front, famous for its works for trendsetter brands Moroso and Driade, created a series of carpets for GAN (textile direction of furniture brand Gandia Blasco).

The collection was called Parquet: carpet design really imitates the parquet layout. Anna Lindgren and Sophia Lagerkvist used squares and rectangles, forming from them complex compositions, optical tricks in the spirit of pop art. Figures seem voluminous, as if, set in motion. The 3D effect is due to complex geometry: individual elements are folded into honeycombs and a diamond rust, resembling facets, edges of precious stones.

Designers say they like to experiment with space. Optical illusion Parquet pushes its boundaries, with these carpets the room seems larger and more spacious. The carpets are made in the GAN and the Swedish technique, unusual for the Spaniards and Swedes of the Front. They are hand knitted on traditional machines in India, pure wool is used. The collection includes three models (there are two possible sizes): Tetragon, Rhomb and Hexagon, differing in patterns and color. Tetragon - a bright range of blue, yellow, pink and green. Rhomb is a yellow-gray-white. Hexagon - shades of gray, brown and purple.
