Бывший коллекционер и продавец старинных картин и комодов, самоучка Шеридан Коукли стал одной из ключевых фигур по распространению идей современного дизайна в Лондоне. У него два магазина в модном Шордиче и богатом Ноттинг-Хилле, отличный коммерческий сайт и немалая энергия: марку SCP сегодня знают в Милане, Париже и Нью-Йорке, она — участник maison & objet и Миланской недели дизайна. На Salone del Mobile SCP попала еще в 1986-го году, сразу же после своего основания. А магазины мистера Коукли отмечены наградами розничной торговли как лучшие дизайнерские точки Лондона.
