New lalique vase by architect mario botta

The star of world architecture Mario Botte costs nothing to change the scale. Together with the House Lalique released a crystal vase Geo, which expanded the collection of Chrystal Architecture.

The image of the diamond rust is a decorative technique of the Renaissance architecture. In particular, Bott recalled the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara. In the center of the vase there is a circle that the maestro himself likes to use in architectural projects - such is the oculus in the Museum of Modern Art in Rovereto (MART), such is the round shape on the facade of the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco. “Vases should be perceived as miniature palazzo,” the author advises. Transparent crystal objects are issued in limited edition, only 250 copies, each with the signature of the architect and numbered. In the color versions of the vase, the circulation is even smaller - 8 basic copies and 2 original copies.

The collaboration of the architect with the renowned house began long ago. By order of the company's president, Mario Botta, he built a new winery in Château Fogere (Saint-Émilion province), as well as a restaurant at the historic Villa Rene Lalique in Wingen-sur-Modenin. During this time, he managed to get acquainted with the production technology of the famous glass, especially he liked the technique of lost wax. Thus, making the first sketches of Geo, Botta had already imagined in detail all the details of the manufacture of the future object.
