“I have always said that we have to transform memories into projects. What we are doing with the foundation, opening two museums in 2017 ”, said Pierre Berger, who did not have time to see the triumph of his hopes, he died on September 8 at the age of 87.
The Paris Museum is located at a familiar address: in the mansion on Avenue Marceau, in the sixteenth arrondissement, where the headquarters of the House of Yves Saint Laurent was located for more than thirty years, and then the Pierre Berge Foundation settled. In order for the interiors to match the great heritage of the couturier, set designer Natalie Krinier, author of the acclaimed retrospectives YSL in 2010, and famous decorator Jacques Grange, author of many houses and apartments of the four Saint-Laurent-Berger, including Chateau Gabriel in Deauville, were invited. . 5 million euros were spent on the reconstruction and museum exposition.
