Milan design week 2016: paul smith + gufram = cactus

The Italian company Gufram will celebrate its 50th anniversary in April 2016 during the days of iSaloni (Milan Furniture Salon) and Milan Design Week. In honor of the anniversary, psychedelic color for the Cactus model was invented by Paul Smith himself.

A few more famous models have been reissued - Bocca sofa, Globe wardrobe, Pratone sculpture, Mozza stool and others. Refresh the charismatic "Cactus" invited fashion designer Sir Paul Smith. Gufram Cactus was invented in 1972 by Guido Drocco and Franco Mello (design bureau Drocco / Mello). Their opus quickly became a bestseller and a symbol of the company: a blatant, cheerful sculpture perfectly reflected the directness, fantasy and humor of the 1970s.

And now, at the invitation of the company, the cheerful and dreamy Briton Paul Smith composed a new image, based on his signature rainbow colors. Now the iconic cactus, which every Italian knows, every second European, every third Russian and every fifth Asian, is filled with a fashionable palette of twelve tones.

Gufram & Paul Smith Psychedelic Cactus. Лимитированный тираж (169 экз.) подчеркнет ценность юбилейной модели.
