“It was an apartment with a typical Soviet renovation: arched openings, brown wallpaper,” recalls Yulia Golavskaya. - In such a "design" one could even find some kind of poetry. But for modern life he was not fit. Fortunately, the source code had good data: in particular, large windows that looked out onto two sides and gave a lot of light. ”

Customers liked the retro style. “It is no coincidence that they chose an apartment in a Stalin-era building, and not in a new building. We were united by nostalgia for the recent past. I immediately felt "my" people. It turned out that the head of the family in his youth listened to the same music as I did - British rock: The Doors, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin groups ”. Today, the family has a collection of vinyl records and an appropriate player.

The project on Timiryazevskaya was decided to call “Rock Wave” - the film “The Boat That Rocked”, shot by Richard Curtis in 2009, was released under the same name in Russia - he liked both Yulia and the customers. “We even wanted to hang a poster with a picture of Jim Morrison. But the lifestyle of a rock musician is not very compatible with the family’s life, so the idea was abandoned. ”

As a result of redevelopment, built-in storage systems appeared that saved the room from confusion. Also, the designer has organized a new corridor: the openings are beautifully connected to each other, opening up spectacular prospects. “In each opening I tried to write something attractive, to create a three-dimensional picture. I can't paint on canvas, the interior is my art. ” Yulia emphasizes that, in carrying out redevelopment, she never interferes with the structure of the capital walls: “I save customers money”.

According to Julia, the basis of the interior should be orderly. "Then people will come and break this order; they will not leave chairs and vases in the places intended for them." I calm my customers: do not look at the fact that the plan is too correct, life itself will add chaos ”.

The author of the project has created a mix of vintage and modern furniture. Interior ensemble thought out to the smallest detail. Here is an example. The pier in the hallway, which was inherited from the previous owners, was repainted in chocolate black, and the handles were made red. The bright dots of the handles are not only combined with the wallpaper in the hallway, in which there is a red color. But they also have something in common with the wallpaper in the bedroom, where the ornament has red acorns, and with a polka dot pattern on the walls of the nursery.

“I like it when finishing materials and decor throughout the apartment are combined into a single collage. It gives a harmonious result. ”

Julia recalls that customers were easy, pleasant people. Well accepted her ideas. Now we are working on a larger object for the same family, on a country house. Nostalgic notes will also sound in its interior.
