In the basement of the building of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet Sofia a nightclub Mascara has opened. Works performed Bulgarian design studio Studio Mode Svetoslav Todorov, founded in 2003 and has become one of the most fashionable and popular in the country. For the design of the club Mascara Studio Mode received the international award Architizer A + 2015. The main idea of ​​the designers is to create a scene for nightlife, using illusions and optical effects from Alice's story in Wonderland. Black and white colors, streamlined shape, complex configuration of the space. A large oval bar and columns separate the lounge area from the dance floor. In the modern and contemporary interior, elements of the historic decor are actively used and “rehashed”: coffered ceilings, buiseri, columns, marble flooring and herringbone parquet.

Svetoslav Todorov Bulgarian designer. His small studio Mode, with offices in the very center of Sofia on Prince Boris Avenue, specializes in interior design and furniture.

In the VIP area, visitors can relax in a dark space with subdued light. The Opera building in Sofia was built in 1953, a nightclub has been in it for 10 years, becoming one of the attractions of the city.

The space has the features of a theatrical scene. Different lighting scenarios can achieve the effect of a theatrical scene.

Opposite the "dark" VIP-zone, located behind the black columns is an illuminated podium with a wave-like screen. Along it - the stools and tables.

Hard black and white triangles on the floor are compensated by the smooth contours of the bar counter and the oval shapes of upholstered furniture. Designers set themselves the task of interpreting a fabulous story in fashionable b / w graphics.

Refinishing surfaces are actively used in the decoration.
