From 15 to 21 January 2018, the international exhibition imm Cologne will be held in Cologne. By tradition, it is the first to open the baton to the largest furniture shows of the year.

Here will be presented the main trends of the industry, determining its development for the year ahead. Not only exhibitors from Germany participate, more than 70% from other countries of the world. Particularly growing interest among companies from Eastern and Southeastern Europe: Poland, Greece, Turkey. More than 1,200 exhibitors from 50 countries are expected at the exhibition.

The key section “Furniture” is supplemented with three important segments: Pure Architects, dedicated to residential interior, Smart Home about promising technologies of the future and “Bathroom”. The focus of the exhibition will be light: from decorative and environmental to digital light control systems. The endless possibilities of modern home lighting will be demonstrated in their installation by Das Haus, the Czech designer Lucy Koldova, who is chosen to be the guest of honor at the forum.

“We want to reflect all segments of the furniture sector and show how everything is interconnected in it,” says Dutch creative director, Dutch designer Dick Spirenburg. - We want to convey to visitors the idea of ​​how important the interior lighting. This is a very multifaceted sphere, and we will try to present it most fully.

For hall 4.2, we have developed a completely new concept. It will show all the important areas in the design, which can not be considered in isolation from each other: bathroom furniture, floors, wall finishes and, most importantly, lighting. Creative impulse will be given to the Light Lamps exposition in the Featured Editions section - ten experimental installations in transparent pyramid frames. ”

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to use a mobile application that will provide a digital plan of pavilions with stands and beacons marked on it, symbolizing interesting news, as well as information about events and press conferences. The forum organizers paid much attention to the growing role of online commerce and the impact of e-commerce on social networks. There will be presented not only the largest online platforms, but also prominent bloggers.
