The new luxury property is part of the Mitchelton Winery Estate, famous vineyards owned by Caravan Jayco owner Jerry Ryan.

In addition to 54 rooms and four suites, the Mitchelton Hotel and Spa has a spa and an outdoor pool. The building with an expressive lookout tower from 1967 was renewed by the architects of the local firm Hecker Guthrie led by Paul Hecker and Hamish Guthrie.

Specially ordered photographs of Australian photographer Trevor Main and works by artist David Bank adorn the walls. The rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, terraces and balconies, a lot of wood, marble, copper, leather, and woolen carpets. Rooms overlook the river or the vineyards.

Prices start at $ 289 per day.
