Republic of Fritz Hansen ™ offered limited edition furniture by the legendary Danish designer Poul Kjaerholm. This year, the company celebrates its 60th anniversary, and the re-release of design icons is more than an appropriate step. The iconic PK22 armchair and PK61 coffee table in the limited edition will be sold for 12 months at the flagship Fritz Hansen store in London. The company has updated the materials: now it is patinated dark steel, nubuck and gray marble.

“I consider steel to be a material with the same artistic value as wood and leather,” said Poul Kierholm (1929–1980). His career began with the place of the cabinet maker. An already experienced carpenter, he continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. A born teacher, Pole quickly mastered the academic field. Kierholm worked for Fritz Hansen for about a year, but managed to create prototypes, which later became one of the best armchairs and chairs of the 20th century. In 1958, Poul Kierholm received international recognition and the Lunning Award for the PK22 chair. In 1957 and 1960 - Grand Prix of the Milan Triennial. Winner of numerous awards, Kierholm headed the Danish Design Institute. Since 1982, Republic of Fritz Hansen ™ has been involved in items designed by the designer from 1951 to 1967.
