“We made an apartment in the apartment building of the beginning of the 20th century for ourselves,” says Dmitry. - The house itself has long attracted our attention with a rich stucco facade. When they came to watch the apartment, they immediately understood - ours. We were lucky that inside there are century-old floors, doors, ceilings. We decided that the interior should look as if several generations of the same family lived here and something remained of each time, was preserved and continues to exist harmoniously along with new things. At the same time the apartment was not supposed to turn into an antique shop, and look easy and modern. We have a large collection of modern art, which had to be shown in the interior.

In the bedroom - bed Vinoti living by Halistya, English lamps Artemis design.

Planning had to be restored. It was possible to find the historical plan of the apartment, which we adhered to. In the Soviet years, black ladder platforms were attached to the living space and baths were equipped in them. Therefore, there were initially two “wet zones” in which two full bathrooms were perfectly located. A lot of time and effort was occupied by the restoration of the floor and panel doors. The centenary oak parquet retained all “traces of existence” and in order to create a uniform surface, the restorers tinted it manually.

At the table - chairs in soft upholstery Ensemble London. The sofa has a bronze lamp by Jean Louis Deniot. The total area of the apartment is 117 m. The ceiling height is 3.3 m. Cabinet library. Antique mirror and lamps purchased at a flea market. Sofa Baker. Chehoma lamp. On the wall of the work of Bogdan Mamonov.

For the sake of the bathroom and kitchen, we looked at a sufficient number of similar interiors of the beginning of the XX century. I wanted these rooms to look authentic, coming from that time. From the previous owners we got the stained glass transom from Murano glass over the doorways. We kept them, and the picturesque color of the glass gave an idea for the colors of textiles: upholstery and curtains. We chose velvet and silk - fabrics, popular in the interiors of the early XX century. They found suitable samples from Houles, where they ordered brass cornices and curtain holders. Switches with toggle switches picked up from the French company Meljac. Furniture did not choose for a long time. Some collectibles came from a previous apartment. Something found in the antique dealers and brought from travel. "

In the bathroom - English plumbing Imperial. On the floor - Topcer Portuguese tiles. Coffee table Calista from Collection Pierre.
