Color therapy: olga fradina’s kiev project

“If the customer has no favorite story, then the interior is very difficult to do. The project with history is always filled with life, ”said Ukrainian designer Olga Fradina, Olga Fradina Interior Design. This project has developed creatively in many respects due to the long-time acquaintance of the designer and customer, passion for color therapy, various types of massage, yoga, etc.

By topic: Sergey Makhno's project: an apartment in Kiev

The customer dreamed of a new studio for her consultations. When the apartment is 78 square meters. meters was found, the only wish was the functional content - the presence of a kitchen, reception area, tea room, massage room adjacent to the shower and a room for consultations. And the only limitation is the budget.

“I love miksovat and do not attribute my work to any one direction. Eastern philosophy is closer to me, where natural beauty, natural materials, and natural forms are valued, ”the designer says. Olga selected the ingredients for this mix, based on the customer’s creative personality. There are elements of industrial style, minimalism, sophisticated, deep colors, author prints, ceramics ...

Appearance in the interior of open concrete, copper pipes and plywood - such solutions were unusual for the customer. In accordance with the new zoning, a slight redevelopment was required: the kitchen area was opened, connecting it to the entrance hall, and the massage room was also combined with the bathroom. Color played an important role in the interior concept.

The color of the massage room is a shade of Desert Rose (Paint and Paper Library). In the kitchen-living room zone, a cold scale was originally planned, but at the project implementation stage, the designer replaced it with a more comfortable for perception and relaxation: the walls in the hallway and the kitchen had a tint Regency Fawn (Paint and Paper Library), the furniture in the kitchen was painted by Georgetown (Little Greene).

Most of the pieces of furniture in the open area, as in the rest of the premises, were made by Ukrainian furniture makers according to the sketches of the author of the interior. "Stump" and a wooden three-legged stool - recognizable works Staritska Maysternya. The office has found its place table of their work, and in the massage room - shop. The tea zone was decorated with a graphic print on the canvas by Olga Fradina.

In the massage room, one of the key decorative elements was a niche, the back wall of which was decorated with a print depicting clouds, printed on canvas from a photograph of Olga, and the neon inscription Be Free. This inscription, like the neon circle and LED-lights in the buildings in the hallway, wires with light bulbs, “dressed” in copper pipes, on the ceiling in the office - spectacular and simple lighting solutions, which allowed to preserve the interior concept, without going beyond the budget.
