“I create music using sounds from everyday life. Everything that can be seen can also be heard, ”says Chiara. The idea to “voice” some objects of Alessi appeared at a meeting of the composer with representatives of the brand during the Milan Triennial at the Alessi exhibition IN-possibile. Extra Ordinary Metal - a series of items made of brass. It is this material that the brand used in the 1920-30s. The models have modern outlines, but they were created using traditional technologies. On the surfaces is a relief pattern - it is applied using granulation techniques following the example of Etruscan jewelers, and the location of the pattern is set using the Fibonacci sequence. The result is a tactile surface that beautifully reflects light. And, as it turned out, it creates interesting sound effects. History, design, culture, metamorphosis, and decor are some of the concepts that a project explores through sounds drawn from trays, dishes, plates, and vases for fruit.
