The Artist's Gallery in Moscow (Prechistenka, 19) is not a gallery at all, but ... a restaurant Created at the museum and exhibition complex and dedicated to the Russian fine arts, it is a cross between an English club, a business center and a restaurant itself. It is related to the first two by the presence of a library and a conference hall, where in the near future they will hold seminars on art history, presentations of works by new masters, show educational films. By the way, in the future we plan to open two more such centers, where avant-garde art and paintings by contemporary artists will be presented. According to the creator, Zurab Tsereteli, the restaurant, besides its immediate purpose, can serve as a small museum, a kind of art gallery. In the "Artist's Gallery" which opened in August of this year, the work of both the maestro and his students sounded bright and new. First of all, it concerns fresco painting. So, masterfully executed reproductions of Tsereteli's works - paintings, bronze bas-reliefs, a series of portraits in bronze - allowed the author of the project to create an interior consisting of several aesthetically unique zones. Each has its own mood. There is no clearly defined style, eclecticism - the principle that allowed to combine different passions, various tastes. In the first hall the “flower” theme became the decorative dominant. In the second, life in its various aspects is depicted in paintings and bas-reliefs made in the "brutal" plastic. In the next two, modern fresco art is presented, and in the design of banquet halls the poet’s source of inspiration was ... poetry. The winter garden can rightly be called a business card of the restaurant. Soon there will be a three-level library, where there will be all conditions not only for recreation, but also for work, which business people will certainly appreciate.
