In September, the premiere of a new collection took place in Paris Lalique. About one of the most outstanding subjects - our separate story

"The beauty of the lake" - the so-called vase from the new, "Chinese" collection LALIQUE. The reasons for the emergence of China Mood ("Chinese mood") in the French brand was at least two. First, this is the memory of how Rene Lalique in 1929 decorated the Peace Hotel in Shanghai ar-deko. Secondly, the universal fascination with the Chinese theme has played a role recently.

LALIQUE It turned to the ancient Chinese history and art. The Chinese decorative motifs that form the basis of the collection are easily visible: these are the outlines of pagodas, the curl of a wave, the silhouette of a cloud — traditional for the art of Ancient China. The attentive eye will immediately notice that the national style features do not dominate (the vase does not look like a Chinese one). The fact is that they are melted in the furnace of style ar-dekotherefore the result is very unusual. In the Lijiang vase, smooth parallel lines that divide it horizontally are completed with typically Chinese stylized clouds, as in ancient engravings ... Transparent colorless crystal emphasizes the purity of the form.
