As a base color for the interior
If we look at the color wheel, we see that in the same segment, where and (5), there are two darker tones - (6) and (7). In this case (6) is the color of the wall, trimmed with wood panels, and (7) the darker color of the built-in wardrobe and leather sofa. An ornament of silk curtains in the living room is also built on the combination of these two shades.
Nearby on the color wheel is a golden hue (4). The combination of ocher shades of different degrees of saturation in one interior corresponds to the so-called analog scheme when the interior author selects colors from one segment of the color wheel. This technique provides a very calm sound of the interior.
But this space had other tasks, including representative ones. Therefore, the architect took the path of enriching the interior. To do this, he, first of all, used contrasting white and black in addition to analog colors. In addition, I wanted to make a romantic touch. And colors, additional to ocher tones, that is, lying on the opposite side of the color wheel, were useful. The architect chose a group of colors, the opposite of not the group (5, 6, 7), but the color (4) lying a little apart, thereby introducing additional intrigue to the interior color scheme. This is a range of blue-blue shades (1, 2, 3) of a pleasant heavenly color. In the bedroom, the fabrics of these colors are covered with walls, the bedspread is also blue. For color balance, the ocher hue of the headboard of the golden wood bed corresponds to the selected basic tone (4).
