Vladimir Burmistrov was born in Moscow in 1959, in the house at the Ustinsky bridge. He graduated from the marirodical arts institute in 1987. He heads the company "Stylistics". Among the great architects of the past, Antonio Gaudi prefers, among the modern architects - Hundertwasser. The decorative houses are also characteristic of private houses that Burmistrov makes, but this is only the tip of the iceberg: he sees the house as an "energy-informational structure." This fully applies to Vladimir's own apartment ... He has a dream - to build a house in the wasteland at the Ustinsky bridge. (The wasteland has been existing for 25 years at the place of the demolished house, where several generations of the architect's family lived.) “A house is a friend, a house is a doctor, a house is an assistant — that’s what a house is for me,” says the architect. “It’s important to come home from the office to feel that the stress of the working day is leaving. Therefore, the apartment is built as a few steps of relaxation, from the hallway to the bedroom. " The first violin is played by the hall space, so to speak, an intermediary between the street and the house. The walls of the hall are decorated with intricate friezes with abstract paintings resembling the colorful carpets of Persia. Drawing curtains, which opens the entrance to the living room, repeats the colors and symbolism of the frieze. The hall is intentionally bright: according to Vladimir, rich colors and contrasting combinations bring down tension and negative emotions. Nature in the attitude of the architect holds a special place. Hence, the wavy lines of the frieze, which associatively go back to the modern, and the "natural" form of the lamps, and tropical plants in the living room, specially set so that, when passing, to touch the leaves. "As in the jungle," - explains the author. The fact is that he loves to travel. Not only the geographical, but also the artistic vector of his travels - South-East: "Ethnics as a direction is close to natural volumes and coloristics. I do not just like ethnic, I see in it depth, philosophy, an ocean of symbols and associations." The decor items that the architect brought from his travels are set to "include" certain associations and pleasant memories: first, an African wooden sculpture opposite the entrance, then an Indochinese bronze "Garuda bird", a Chinese carved table, and so on. It is clear why, in general, both the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom, and the office are designed in a neutral modern style and in light, light color shades: this reality is the background for watching an associative "movie". Such "cinematic" is one of the techniques that the architect successfully used in solving the space of his custom-made house, the so-called "Astral Island." With the layout of this favorite object, Vladimir was photographed in the living room.
