For the first time the Arabic word "kayf" (we know it as "high") appeared in Russian in 1821. It was at this time that the writer and journalist O. I. Senkovsky, telling about his impressions of traveling in Egypt, explained to the St. Petersburg public what the key is: , carelessly lounging, drinking coffee and smoking tobacco is called from them - to do kef. " The newly opened art café "KEF" in Yekaterinburg (Moskovskaya St., 209) is directly connected with the linguistic meaning of the word. Three halls - Japanese, Central Asian and European - are made in accordance with the cultural archetypes. The style of the decor is fusion and eclectic. The whole entourage makes it possible to plunge into the state of "blissful bliss", about which Dostoevsky wrote.
