In the most luxurious male studio Moscow is not sewn. Here, in an intimate, almost conspiratorial atmosphere, measurements are taken, which are then sent to England, to Pittsburgh, where individual tailoring is carried out. The Imperial Tailor at Gostiny Dvor is a chamber salon in which the atmosphere of aristocratic living rooms of the 19th century is recreated. A small space was decided concisely: authentic vaults are painted in dark red color, which hid the irregularities of the historical walls and became the main conceptual element of the interior. In combination with wood paneling, classic forms of furniture and lamps, antique painting and books, red created a space that was both classical and contemporary. The authors of the project used here the traditions of the English style Regency, reflecting a turn from solemnity to intimacy, from official normativity to individualism. The solemnity and intimacy for "Portnoy" are really key concepts - Moscow connoisseurs of classic English fashion are known to be very respectable for luxury and secrecy.
