Moroccan interiors captured the imagination of European designers. A couple of centuries ago, Europe was already ill with the Maghreb. Looks like the story repeats.

Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, the so-called Maghreb countries, have long fascinated Europeans. Bright, sunny, green, they looked more attractive than the Middle East. Therefore, for the Arabic exotic rushed here. The first artists of the Maghreb became interested in French painters of the XIX century. Even the whole direction was born - Orientalism. Interest, however, was self-serving: France acted as a colonizer. The painters - Auguste Ingres, Eugene Delacroix - praised the North African beauty quite sincerely.

Modern designers echo the great artists - they do not take admiration. The theme of the Arabic exotic has become popular recently. The Far East is not interested in the first year, but the Middle Eastern countries and even more so North Africa turned out to be a novelty. First of all, ornamental culture is in demand. Typical patterns adorn textiles and porcelain. Lamps resembling Aladdin's lamps became popular. As well as low tables like those with which Tunisian cafes are set, and carved furniture, which is abundant in Moroccan interiors.

Of course, such an interior is an amateur. The atmosphere is bright, spectacular, inviting, but how to present it as an everyday environment? Although ... If you yourself are no less vivid, no less expressive, why not
