Exhibition Proposte in Como, Italy
Passing the galleryMagazine: Decor N8 (119) 2007
More than 100 companies from around the world came together for the anniversary exhibition. They brought Italian silks and damasks, French lace and Belgian jacquards, English brocade and Spanish flax. Classic and modern collections of textiles from famous designers decorated the exhibition complex, which is located on the territory of the old villa Erb.
The general trend has become an abundance of metal. These are jacquard patterns and embroideries with lurex, gold and silver prints and applications applied on all types of fabrics - from chiffon to flax. Here there are huge crocuses on the thinnest gas, and curls of classic medallions on striped linen, and placers of flowers or ovals on chiffon and organza. By the way, about ovals: the idea of a circle with modern designers is especially popular, so all his fellows are in fashion - ovals, ellipses, peas, even whole flower ornaments are included in the circle. But about the colors separately!
This season, floral rapports are striking in their size. Designers depict whole pictures that can be viewed only on large spaces. Therefore, the windows must be large, the ceilings high, and the walls free of excess furniture. As for the texture of fabrics, then there is complete freedom. It is still fashionable to mix different textures - flax with silk, viscose, lurex. The combination of silk and wool was unexpected, resulting in a stunning effect of tenderness and softness. Smooth satin, rough flax, soft velvet, and intricate openwork are in fashion.
On color, you can say one thing: the brighter, the more fashionable. The combination of pink and green, red and blue, purple and brown give complete freedom for creative people. So go ahead!
