English garden in the outback - it would seem, what could be more typical? However, the garden that was made by Bunny Guinness, a famous British landscape designer, is by no means traditional - stone is everywhere, and man-made greenery is perceived rather as a continuation of the nearby forest.

Bunny Guinness works with a wide variety of customers. The owner of this site gave the designer an unusual task. He used to spend time surrounded by stone - by profession he is associated with the construction business. Therefore, his main wish sounded very nontrivial - there should have been as much as possible ... stone in the garden. Bunny was surprised, but not embarrassed, and boldly set to work. “My work with the customer begins with the fact that I literally make a very general sketch in just a few minutes based on some global wishes of the owner. He looks at this first, test sketch and makes clarifications. Many designers avoid such intermediate views and prefer to show the customer Only the final result is in the form of a detailed drawing or a 3D model, but it seems to me that with this approach the customer may feel, roughly speaking, like a rabbit in the trap, because he is practically deprived of the right to vote and Coy whatsoever freedom of choice I prefer live contact and work as a team to eventually get exactly what he wants the owner of the garden, after all, because he is living there, "-.. smiling bunny. With regard to this section, everything happened exactly this way - a preliminary sketch and constant consultations on the course of work. And the result, however trite it may sound, really exceeded all expectations.

When Bunny Guinness started working on the project, the site was already practically completed house in the best English traditions. It remained to create an adequate environment for him. The ground on which the garden was supposed to be laid out is not far from the forest, and Bunny decided to beat this neighborhood. The forest practically enters the territory of the garden, as well as the garden rather resembles forest thickets. Plants even braid the walls of the house. True, for the sake of the established tradition, and in the midst of this grassy riot, they decided to make a corner of calm and clear symmetry. On the side of the courtyard, there is a mini-garden fenced off by a hedge, marked by stone walkways, adjoining the house. If green paint prevails on the front side of the house, then the courtyard part of the garden is colored with bright buds of various colors.

The last but one of the most important stages of the work was the fulfillment of the client’s special mission - to include all stone elements in this environment. I must say that the customer is not just limited to an abstract love of stone, he actively collects various artifacts, including stone. Some of them found a place in the garden. So, here and there, among green thickets, there are stone mushrooms and all inanimate stone living creatures, for example, roosters, all of them were overgrown with moss, darkened with time. In contrast with the lush green gardens, it looks very impressive.

When the project was already handed over, the customer decided to make several additions. Arriving a couple of weeks later, Bunny discovered that among the stone artifacts and the greenery she planted ... ducks walk about. It turned out that the owner was so pleased with the result of the designer’s work that he not only moved here himself, but also moved his favorites - he breeds a rare species of ducks at his leisure.
