"The device at any public institution, where they get drinks, snacks, etc." - this is how the word "buffet" is interpreted in the Dahl dictionary. In Soviet times, buffets became independent institutions. Today, this concept is gradually losing relevance. Most buffets remained only in theaters. They decided to revive the tradition in St. Petersburg with the help of Moscow architect Grigory Marov. In one of the parts of the building of the former factory, a "Soft-buffet" recently opened (Krasny Tekstilshchik St., d. 10-12). "Soft-buffet" fully corresponds to its name. “We made the hard walls soft,” says Grigory Marov, “draped them with suede“ under the cow ”and sewed the same pillows. Because of the large number of window openings, they made colored glass inserts and let the red and yellow lights around the perimeter of the space. So you can turn the old factory into a new buffet.
