The process of working on the interior is fascinating, like shooting a movie: first, the decorator and customer order a “plot”, then they write a “script” in which the main roles are given to furniture, light and textiles

Tells the decorator Svetlana Sergeeva: “The work on the interior reminds me of the process of shooting a film - creating the stage scenes, the psychologism of the images, and the selection of the right accessories ... But the main thing is the result. Call friends, check: if the interior has developed, if there is a style, then you will hear: “Great! Like in a movie!»

The interior must and must be beautiful. Listen to yourself and understand what beauty is to you. Maybe this is minimalism - a laconic space, as if written in broad strokes? Or elegant, refined and rich in details classic? This moment of "talking to yourself" is the most important.

Consider: at home we spend most of our lives. From 24 hours - about half. Today the rhythm of life is such that at home it is very important to fully relax, so I advise you to pay special attention to the bedroom. Choose shades to taste (and taking into account the overall color for the house). The bedroom palette can be bright, light and transparent; can be dense and saturated.

I am for the need to generously decorate the bedroom with textiles. Draperies on the windows, on the doorways, a canopy over the bed, or at least a tapestry at the headboard - this, in my opinion, is the perfect decoration of the bedroom in a classic style. I really love canopies and canopies over the bed - it gives room comfort. As a final detail, I would advise you to put a silk carpet on the floor in the bedroom. In general, the right color scheme - is 99% of success in creating the interior. I will share one of my recipes. Try combining a light yellow tint with shades of blue, red or green. Let the walls be light - from ivory to yellowish, ocher, golden shades, and let the textiles on soft furnishings be contrast (bordeaux, herbal green or sapphire blue). Pick up curtains with medium-sized pattern (strip or flower). Their ornament should contain the shade of the walls and the color of the upholstered furniture.

Today's fashion allows and even welcomes eclectic techniques, mixing styles. But no one has canceled interiors designed in one of the historical styles.. Such a space requires special, historical authenticity, stylistic consistency. Take, for example, the interior in the style of Art Nouveau, created by me in close cooperation with the customer, who is engaged in collecting antiques. I think cooperation is generally one of the main conditions for a successful interior. ”
