This villa on the Spanish coast is not like standard holiday cottages. There are cliffs around, and instead of the beach there is a cliff, so you can only admire the sea from the windows.

We associate Spain with a seaside resort. However, there is not only the sea, but also mountains. As well as a mixture of both. In one of these "mixed" places, not far from Valencia, architect Jaime Sanahuja Rochera built an unusual mansion. The building in the form of a trapezoid is located on three levels. The fact is that around - only rocks, abruptly ending in the sea, and a very small area was suitable for construction. It was not at all easy to inscribe a house in it. As a result, this three-tier structure appeared. Not only three floors of the house, but also a roof and a terrace are used as a living space. The architectural solution with glazed facades and a free interior layout inspired by the works of Le Corbusier.

This mansion serves as a country residence. The family comes here mostly for the weekend. Therefore, the emphasis is on the "entertainment" rooms - living room, fitness room and a relaxation area by the pool. They are located on the lower levels. On the top floor they placed all the bedrooms - the owners, children's and guest. Above them, on the roof, is a lounge area where sunbathing is expected.

Pool staged on the terrace. Glazed doors-windows of the master bedroom, with an amazing panorama of the bay, come out here. The architect came up with this bundle of "pool - terrace - bedroom" in order for the owners as often as possible to admire the delightful sea sunsets.

The interior of the house was designed by designer Salvador Villalba. The owner has a large collection of modern art, and the designer’s task was, in essence, to create an interior - an exhibition space in which all art objects would look organic. The white walls served as the backdrop for the works of art. The decoration is dominated by marble, there are also inclusions of light beech, the warm color of which does not argue with a neutral environment. The situation picked up to match. All together - fancy figurines, African artifacts, abstract paintings, designer furniture (many are stamps CASSINA), lamps and white marble creates an atmosphere of art gallery somewhere in New York's Soho, and not at all a seaside villa on the Spanish coast.
